Ticket price for Sabarima in Kerala is absoutely free of cost. However, The Travancore Devaswom Board and Kerala Police jointly operate the Virtual-Q system at no cost to ensure equitable access and smooth crowd governance. Despite the scale of the pilgrimage and the operational footprint required to manage millions of devotees every season, Sabarimala does not charge any fee for the Virtual-Q Darshan ticket. Sabarimala Sree Dharma Sastha Temple, dedicated to Lord Ayyappa, is the most famous and prominent among all the Sastha temples in Kerala. It is said that the pilgrims have to observe celibacy for 41 days before going to Sabarimala. Pilgrims take the traditional forest routes as well as the one from Pamba which is less physically challenging to reach the temple.
