Ghughua Fossil National Park, also known as Fossil National Park or Ghughua Fossil Park, is one of India’s most unique geological heritage sites. Located in Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh, the park preserves fossilized plant remains dating back nearly 65 million years to the Late Cretaceous period. It was declared a national park in 1983 and is famous for petrified tree trunks, leaves, seeds, fruits, and palm fossils.
