Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park, popularly known as Ranchi Zoo or Ormanjhi Zoo, is one of the largest and most beautiful zoological parks in eastern India. Established in 1994, the park spans approximately 104 hectares of natural forest near the scenic Getalsud Dam. The zoo was created to conserve endangered wildlife, promote environmental education, and provide visitors with an opportunity to observe animals in naturalistic habitats. The park houses a diverse collection of mammals, birds, reptiles, and a large freshwater aquarium.
