Kanha National Park is one of India’s most famous tiger reserves, located in the Maikal range of Satpura Hills in Madhya Pradesh. Spread across Mandla and Balaghat districts, the park inspired Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book with its dense sal forests, open meadows, bamboo groves, and rich wildlife. Kanha is especially known for Royal Bengal Tigers, Barasingha (swamp deer), leopards, wild dogs, and over 300 bird species.
